Press release from: Mirror Reader Offers

An online retailer has claimed that men are lagging behind in making an early start buying Christmas presents for women in their life.

Mirror Reader Offers, the online retail portal that provides more than 8,500 offers selected by the Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror, says that women have made a quicker start than men with buying this year's Christmas gifts.

Each year shoppers are encouraged to make an early start with their Christmas gift-getting to avoid the last-minute panic in December. The retailer is reporting that women are once again the first to start placing orders for mens Christmas presents.

A spokesperson for Mirror Reader Offers commented: "There's little doubt that UK high streets will be extremely busy this December, but it's very encouraging that more and more of us are now turning to the web to get some, most or all of our Christmas shopping done. However, we've found that it's still women who are the first to make a start, placing orders for mens Christmas presents."

Mirror Reader Offers provides a wide range of Christmas gifts for boyfriends, dads, brothers and husbands, from the personalised calendar to the audio tape to mp3 converter. These items, and many others besides, have been snapped up by women looking to get organised and avoid the hassle that city centres and shopping centres bring as December 25th gets nearer.

"Maybe women are better at listening," the spokesperson joked. "In our experience, it's women that tend to pick up on hints their loved ones drop regarding Christmas presents much earlier. This means they can go online, search for what they want and get all their shopping wrapped up – perhaps even literally – before December starts."

Mirror Reader Offers is now calling for men to follow suit by listening to their girlfriend, wife, sisters or mum for gift ideas. The spokesperson said: "Women drop hints, so if men make an early start by listening they will soon get some great ideas for Christmas presents for women that are bound to be well received come December 25th."

Among the presents for women that Mirror Reader Offers provides are blankets with sleeves, snow boots and Norwegian slippers.

Christmas in Phuket
Phuket, Thailand: Thailand is a 95% Buddhist country so Christmas is not a festival that officially appears in the Thai calendar, but with a large ex-pat community and Thais who love an excuse to have fun, Christmas is celebrated in fine spirit every year - especially in Phuket. In fact, they started playing Christmas carols in Phuket’s Tesco on 19th November which took me by surprise. Then I noticed the frozen
Merry Christmas
’Tis The Season To Celebrate The Annual Festive Tradition Of Refusing To Call Christmas “Christmas.” 68% of Americans say they prefer to be greeted with “Merry Christmas” and not “Happy Holidays” and yet each year the Anti-Christmas Brigade takes to the streets, and takes to the airwaves, to protest against Americans calling Christmas by its name. Why is that? Sometimes the best way to understand why people do what they do is to
