DMC Atlanta Participates in Atlanta Braves 50/50 Raffle - Breaks Record - Helps Two Amazing Charities
DMC Atlanta, Inc., an Atlanta based promotional sales and marketing firm, put their skills to work to help two charitable foundations at one time. DMC Atlanta had 30 employees, affiliates, friends and family spend the afternoon at Turner Field selling tickets for a 50/50 raffle. The team broke the single game record for tickets sold raising a total of almost $6000. The lucky winner went home with $2938 and DMC was able to split the other half between Operation Smile and the Braves Foundation. www.dmcatlanta.com
Operation Smile is an international medical humanitarian organization raising awareness of children with cleft palates which often leave them unable to speak, eat, socialize and smile. The international charity has a presence in over 60 countries where they provide free corrective surgery for children and adults. Since 1982 the organization, thanks to its volunteer surgeons, nurses, anesthesiologist and other professional, has been able to provide over 160,000 surgeries. DMC Atlanta's efforts with the raffle raised enough money to pay for six surgeries.
The Atlanta Braves Foundation that supports community organizations and their programs with in Metro Atlanta. The foundation, since its start in 1992, has annually contributed more than $3.3 million in financial and in-kind assistance. The Foundation believes that by “pitching in together” through combined efforts of players, employees, corporate partners and fan they can truly make a difference in the local community.
The president of DMC Atlanta, Adam Dorfman, was excited to be able to make a difference in two very diverse areas of need as well as contribute on a national and local level. “We were excited for the opportunity to join up with the Atlanta Braves and help benefit two amazing charities! Our team was so enthusiastic about the opportunity to give back to the community they broke records, I think that says something about what incredible people we have as a part of our team.”
