Melissa & Doug Toys teams up with JAM Paper & Envelope on the Upper East Side of New York City
A Melissa & Doug representative noticed that JAM had extra space in their store and decided to cold call JAM Paper & Envelope. After finally reaching owner Andrew Jacobs, a partnership was formed.
"Almost half of our customers on the upper east side are pushing a stroller", says Andrew Jacobs. "So when Melissa & Doug approached us to carry toys, we thought it sounded like a great idea. But when we try a new line, we dont just try a few products. When we try a new line, we typically try the ENTIRE line!" says Jacobs.
500 skus later, the Melissa & Doug Toys section of JAM Paper was opened this past Saturday. "If this partnership works", says Jacobs, "we will add a Melissa & Doug section to all of our future holiday pop up stores."
JAM Paper currently has 3 Manhattan locations and hopes to open addtional pop up stores in December.
