Los Angeles, CA—(April 25, 2007)— On April 25, 2007, inspirational award-winning screenwriter and director, Kitania “Kitty” Kavey, visited the set of the show Down Low on Music Plus TV. Down Low is an internet TV show that features music videos, entertainment news and special guests.
During the show, Kavey charismatically discussed her rags to riches life story, her disabilities, how she feels Hollywood is more difficult for women even in today’s age, her numerous screenwriting awards and her charitable ventures. Kavey was most proud to announce that she won the top honor at the deadCENTER film festival for her comedy screenplay “The Man with the Package” – cowritten with her writing partner (and brother) David Mulligan.
“Music Plus TV was a blast to visit.” says Kavey. “Erika is a fabulous host and I loved sharing my life story with the viewers. If I inspired just one person to believe that here in America life is full of possibilities and opportunities for each of us, that would mean the world to me.”
At the end of the show, Kavey mentioned that she is supporting a Marine Memorial organized by her friend renowned photographer Kevyn Major Howard. The ‘63 Chevy Nova is a moving memorial for the fallen Marines from the Iraq War. Each of the fallen Marines is named on the Memorial Race Car in honor of their ultimate sacrifice. The unique vehicle will travel throughout the country for special events and appearances.
The campaign needs sponsors- more specifically, companies who can express the unifying scope of what it means to be American. They are presenting the car to the public with the cooperation and participation of the U.S. Marines in hopes that it will inspire Americans.
