McNeill Designs’ memory game Twisted Fish named to Top 100 Board Games for 2011
Wilmington, Delaware (October 4, 2011) -- Game development firm McNeill Designs for Brighter Minds recently announced that its award-winning memory game Twisted Fish has been included in the Top 100 Board Games for 2011 by The Dice Tower.Since 2005, the highly anticipated Top 100 Board Games list by The Dice Tower has recognized exceptional games in diverse selection of genres. Three categories are recognized – one general list is compiled by The Dice Tower’s editorial staff, as well as one “kid-friendly” list, and a People’s Choice is created using reader votes.
Twisted Fish, recognized in the kid-friendly category takes the traditional game of Go Fish and gives it a challenging twist. The game contains 13 unique fish characters in five different colors, plus 8 unique Zingers that allow players to break the rules. These Zingers make Twisted Fish a unique game experience that offers laugh-out-loud fun for the entire family.
Inclusion in Top 100 Board Games is the most recent in a long line of awards for the game development firm. Since its creation in 2006, Twisted Fish has been recognized by both the gaming and education communities and is the recipient of numerous awards including Creative Child Best Family Game of the Year, Mr. Dad Gold Seal of Approval, and FAO Schwarz Toy Auditions, Winner. Earlier this year, Twisted Fish was added to the permanent collection at The Strong, the world’s most comprehensive collection of historical materials related to play.
