OVERLAND PARK, KS (October 3, 2011) -- Tallgrass Creek retirement community in Overland Park, KS, this month celebrates its 4th anniversary. In doing so it is fast approaching a record 300-resident milestone.Men and women have moved to Tallgrass Creek from all parts of Kansas and Missouri, and also from other geographic areas. A brief sampling follows:
In Kansas: Lawrence, Shawnee, Olathe, Kansas City, Emporia, Manhattan, Topeka, Independence, Prairie Village, and Wichita.
Elsewhere : St. Louis, Missouri; Independence, Missouri; Jefferson City, Missouri; Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; Silver Spring, Maryland; Tampa Bay; Florida; and Cape Cod, Massachusetts
This week is one filled with festive events by Tallgrass Creek residents and staff. Activities include a Rootin’ Tootin’ Baked Bean Square-Off, a cowboy hat decorating contest and country music line dancing. The theme is “How the West Was Fun.”
