Miss Lundquist also taught English as a foreign language in Rome, Italy for more than a decade before entering William Mitchell. Karen is currently the Co-Director of the Business Practicum at William Mitchell College of Law and teaches in the LLM program at the University of Minnesota Law School where she instructs foreign attorneys in legal writing and research. For six years, she served as the coordinator and instructor for William Mitchell’s Summer Institute on American Law, a summer study abroad for Turkish lawyers and law students.
Speaking English, Spanish and Italian fluently, she assists her global clientele in developing the presence and confidence they need to rise up and excel in their legal professions. Karen states, “Law is very technical subject matter and using English for the law is very different than using it for everyday purposes. With my experiences as a language teacher, my students gain the fluency that they need and want so they are able to speak about legal matters in English confidently.
