NEW BIODEGRADABLE PACKAGING ANNOUNCED FOR ECO-FRIENDLY CAT LITTER COMPANY, TOFUKITTY CLUB
All packaging will be updated to better serve its customers and reduce the company's carbon footprint.
"We asked our customers how we could improve for them, and one area that kept coming up was the packaging. Our customers are very eco-conscious; they requested a greener, more sturdy option...so that's what we gave them," said Molly Anderson, founder of the TofuKitty Club. "The cardboard box is 100% biodegradable, so when recycled properly, it reduces waste in the landfills. The litter is also packaged in a lighter, more durable plastic that is not particularly energy-intensive to manufacture," she goes on to say.
TofuKitty Club, a startup out of Delaware, first hit the US direct-to-consumer market in 2018, offering 100% plant-based, eco-friendly cat litter, delivered directly to your doorstep. The company's founder and environmental ecologist Ms. Molly Anderson, created TofuKitty with the vision to help reduce pet product waste and create a kitty litter that's safe for cats, humans, and is gentle on the planet.
