Hampstead, NH, September 29, 2011 -- Rao´s Coffee Roasters, one of the country´s premiere roasters of direct trade coffee and arguably the most served cup in Boston´s high end restaurants, will showcase it´s latest lots of Micro Roasted Organically Grown Ethiopian Sidamo and Brazil coffees at the upcoming Boston Local Food Festival to be held on October 1st from 11am to 5pm at Fort Point Channel.

Long known as the standard for exceptional coffee in Greater Boston´s high-end restaurant scene (served at Blue Ginger, The Blue Room, Craigie on Main, IL Capriccio and Hamersley's Bistro), the Rao´s booth will be an interactive, educational, and fun way for the public to learn about the "seed to cup" process, taste the coffee, and perhaps win a year´s supply for their home.

"We pay close attention to every detail in the process, from the interactions with the small farmers that we´ve developed relationships with, to roasting in small batches by hand, sight, and feeling." said Owner Jeff Waskiewicz. "This festival will be an opportunity for the public to see just how much goes into creating the perfect cup of coffee, and we´ll give everyone who comes to our booth a sample of our most special and sought after coffees for
them to brew an entire pot at home.

Rao's will also conduct a free drawing for a years´ worth of whole bean coffee (a pound every two weeks shipped directly to the winners home), and let the winner share their good fortune with 12 of their closest friends, who will receive one pound of coffee each. "We can´t wait to pick a winner" said Gail Flood, General Manager, "Moreover, the prospect of that person selecting an additional twelve people to share coffee which really speaks to the essence of what Rao´s is all about – relationships."

The Boston Local Food Festival will run from 11am-5pm on October 1st at Fort Point Channel and will feature over 100 local restaurants, retailers, and organizations.
