Sittard, the Netherlands – 27 September 2011 – SABIC has appointed Country Leaders across Europe to ensure that customers take full advantage of SABIC’s global assets and local expertise. Recently, Piotr Kwiecień was appointed as the Country Leader in Poland; this appointment is connected to our aim to establish a closer cooperation between SABIC’s business and sales operations in polyolefins (Polymers business) and engineering thermoplastics. The new structure will ensure a common approach that will be focused on supporting the needs of local markets and customers.

The appointment of Piotr Kwiecień will ensure an even stronger local SABIC presence in Poland with a dedicated team focused on providing tailored customer service. By combining a deep understanding of local market challenges and a reliable supply of an extensive material portfolio, SABIC continues to be a strong partner who supports the ambitions of its customers.

Piotr Kwiecień says: “By bringing the existing business and sales organisations literally under one roof in our country, we will be in a much better position to provide customers with coordinated access to the company’s full portfolio of materials and services, as well as aligned service practices to accelerate time to market. Furthermore we will be better able to connect with relevant plastics governances and institutes.”

“The new joint operations will offer many advantages to our customers,” says Kwiecień . “We will have a unified team that can provide multi-product customers with complementary services, including referrals across product lines when it comes to materials, application development and integrated market intelligence. In this way, customers who begin their relationships with one part of the team can easily leverage other resources to meet the full range of their needs. Also, by pooling our knowledge, we can provide comprehensive solutions and services.”
