Press release from: MÜNCH MOTORRAD TECHNIK GmbH

Prior to the Le Mans 24 hour motor bike race this upcoming Saturday e-bike teams will fight out the European and FIM e-Power International Championship rankings. Reaching for both, the TTXGP Championship and global FIM Championship title, MUENCH Racing Team from Germany has to be taken into account when discussing who might win. Leading both overall rankings driver Matthias Himmelmann can calmly approach the upcoming races.

With his sensational victory on the rather slow course in Karlskoga three weeks ago, Matthias Himmelmann persuasively extended his lead in the TTXGP racing series. “We changed lots of little parts to adapt the TTE-2 to the slow course and make it more stable,” explained Head of Development Thomas Schuricht. “This was the key to succeed”. Thanks to the extremely flexible developers, drivers, team and bike MUENCH was able to repeatedly be in the fore.

“In Le Mans I expect a top speed of more than 200km/h”, said Matthias Himmelmann. “It’s a fast and very twisty course. “ As it seems this mixture is perfect for the MUENCH e-bike. Using a long straight to achieve top form driver Himmelmann just loves to lean into a curve and gently stroke the asphalt with his knee. First tests in Le Mans were already successfully completed at the beginning the season. Hence, the anticipation for the closing race of the European championship is getting bigger and bigger. “I am looking forward to this wonderful race track, the race itself and of course, the Le Mans 24 hours program,” stated the MEUNCH driver. “On Saturday night Status Quo will play a show and the team, our sponsor SCHOTT Solar and our fans will definitely attend it.” Teammanager Thomas Petsch, who strongly believes in the team’s success complemented with the words: “Hopefully with both championship titles in our hands.”

Until then batteries, transverter and engine have to ride out quite much to be victorious during the final and closing races of the TTXGP European Championship and FIM e-Power International Championship. Although the team is ahead of the field with a comfortable lead e-MUENCH cannot permit another failure.
