Motivational Speaker Donates 24 Tennis Scholarships To Inner City Youths

Nationally known motivational keynote speaker, “The Spark Plug,” a lifelong tennis player who participated in junior as well as college tennis, has donated 24 tennis scholarships to inner city young people through the Fitz Tennis Club, Decatur, Georgia (fitztennisclub.com).

Each scholarship provides 10 private tennis lessons from Coach Hiram Fitzpatrick, a Certified Tennis Instructor, to a deserving youngster.

Coach Fitzpatrick and his wife, Carolyn, have operated the Fitz Tennis Club since 1998 where students 4 and older can learn a game that opens the whole world to them. Fitz’ 2007 Summer Tennis Camp is scheduled for May 29th through August 10th.

Carolyn, who is also president of the Fitz Tennis Club, says, “I would like to thank Spark Plug for his generous donation. It will surely help many children whose parents or guardians may not have the funds to pay for tennis lessons.”

“Not only do the kids receive tennis lessons, but they learn valuable lessons about leadership, commitment, respect, kindness, and civic responsibility. Spark Plug has even donated his speaking services to help inspire and motivate the youth and their parents at the Big Summer Camp Finale.”
