Richardson Brothers Electrical Acquired by John Mills Electric

ITHACA, NEW YORK - January 24, 2020 - John Mills Electric, a full service electrical contracting company, with offices in Ithaca and Elmira announced today that it has acquired the long-standing Ithaca staple, Richardson Brothers Electrical.

Richardson Brothers has provided the Ithaca area with residential and commercial electrical contracting services since its inception in 1975. John Mills Electric has been serving the Southern Tier area since 1946, specializing in the design, installation, service and repair of electrical systems for residential and commercial customers.

This acquisition expands services and capabilities offered by John Mills Electric in Tompkins County beyond what they offered previously through their Ithaca office. The move also brings additional market familiarity and expertise to the company since key Richardson Brothers' personnel have transitioned to John Mills Electric. Additionally, the company's local presence will be expanded and services will still be provided through the established Richardson Brothers' location at 19 Quarry Road.
