berlin-projekt.org is a database where all independent artists working in Berlin can publish their events: exhibitions, independent films, off theatre projects, workshops, discussions, parties and more… A blog informs with articles and critical reviews about productions and working conditions.

Berlin is a city which has a vibrant contemporary independent art scene. On berlin-projekt.org one can track and discover small alternative art places and meet the artists.

How does berlin-projekt.org function?
The database is created as a self-helping tool for all independent producing artists and groups and is filled by themselves.
An easy menu helps to search within art media like dance, theatre, film, medias, visual arts, and music and event types like film screenings, performances, vernissages, exhibitions and more. These small events usually have modest entrance fees, or expect donations. The database can also be searched for strictly cost-free events.

berlin-projekt.org is an initiative by the Berlin theatre artist Malah Helman. She's worked on this since 2006, fascinated by the manifold ideas of Berlin's independent art scene. Berlin-projekt.org was realised by Hannes Diedrich from Intrasocial who being a musician himself did a great job.
