San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Works to Create Commerce Connections for Local Businesses with ChamberBid

The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce today announced the launch of ChamberBid, a one-stop local procurement and lead generation service for the nearly 3,000 member businesses and 400,000 members’ employees of the Chamber.

San Diego, CA, August 25, 2011 -- The San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce today announced the launch of ChamberBid, a one-stop local procurement and lead generation service for the nearly 3,000 member businesses and 400,000 members’ employees of the Chamber.

ChamberBid is a web-based platform that gives local businesses the opportunity to make more money by responding to bid requests from other registered users. Businesses and their employees can also save on the goods and services they purchase every day by posting requests for bids to registered local businesses that can meet their demand. Posting a bid request is free and responding to a bid is only $4.

“Commerce is the fuel that drives businesses to get involved with the Chamber, and we’re putting the commerce back into the Chamber of Commerce with ChamberBid,” said Bill Holman, vice president of external affairs at the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce. “It’s about keeping it all local and growing the local economy.”

ChamberBid is part of a new goal at the Chamber to provide San Diego’s business community with tangible tools for success, in addition to quality networking events, targeted advocacy and educational opportunities.

“There is no need to show up to win with ChamberBid,” said Holman. “Some people do not have time to show up to networking events. ChamberBid delivers business leads directly into their inboxes without requiring them to leave the office.”
