Chalinze Kids - CS2 Lawyers Reach the Roof for Charity

Louisa Chambers, a Personal Injury Solicitor at CS2 Lawyers and Nevil Croston, a Partner at Bryan & Armstrong Solicitors joined a team of 10 to climb Mount Kilimanjaro to the dizzy height of 5895 metres in August 2011 to raise money for a Tanzanian school in the province of Chalinze.

The team have been training hard since Christmas for the climb which took 7 days in total, including a mammoth 15 hour walk on summit night.

All 10 climbers made it to the summit of Uhuru Peak at around 7:30AM for the sunrise, after setting off at midnight.

Both Louisa and Nevil have helped to raise money for the Chalinze School Project in association with Balfour Beatty, West Nottinghamshire College and St Martins School in Derby. As a team they have raised over £5,000.00 to buy much needed Malaria nets and to refurbish the classrooms on site.

The party were honoured with a very warm welcome by the staff and children at the school, and as well as purchasing and distributing malaria nets, works have already begun on the classroom refurbishments.
