Verification Associates Takes Delivery Of State Of The Art Equipment

Verification Associates, forensic investigators of fenestration and building envelope defects have just taken delivery and now commissioned the latest thermal camera available from FLIR Ltd, which has only been on the market in the last two months.

Rod Appleyard, chartered surveyor, expert witness and principal of Verification Associates says, “With an expenditure of £24,000 this is a major step forward for our Company.”

The equipment itself offers a greater degree of precision and analysis of thermal images coupled with almost surreal capabilities and an extremely high speed of transfer to a file. The camera is at the top of the scale when it comes to clarity of images will only improve the presentation and understanding to clients and the courts.

Mr Appleyard continues, “The strength of any report is its clarity and accuracy. Up until now, thermal pictures have been a bit fuzzy and blurred. This is now a thing of the past.”

The Company obviously believes that, despite the huge cost of this equipment it is a sound investment. It is only common sense that surveyors must ensure that the very best equipment is to hand in the detection of the vast array of building defects, from heat loss, water ingress and other defect creating problems, including the location of under-floor heating.
