Art around the World Artistic Photography Winners Revealed

Press release from: Art around the World

The organisers of “Art around the World” are pleased to announce that the winners of the Artistic Photography Contest have been selected and informed of their outstanding achievement. The Contest attracted over 770 entries from 75 different countries. The high standard and exceptional expertise of the photographers gave the judges a hard choice but after careful consideration by the judges the winners have been categorised into 6 different themes; a total of 35 photographers have been chosen, including ‘highly commended’ and ‘honourable mentions’; the winners come from 22 different countries: Argentina, USA, India, UK, Senegal, Canada, Lithuania, Slovakia, Vietnam, India, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Australia, Belgium, Iran, Indonesia, Ukraine, Sweden, Philippines, Turkey, Belarus and Brazil.

The overall winners of the Art around the World Artistic Photography Contest for each category are:

Portraiture & People: Henrietta Payne from the United Kingdom
Landscape & Architecture: Ricardo Baigorria from Argentina
Animals & Nature: David Bruce Gammie from Canada
Black and White: Pritha Guha Majumdar from India
Creative: Misa Irodia from Senegal
Special Recognition: Dainius Sciuka from Lithuania

Congratulations to our successful photographers. We also want to thank everyone for taking part in the Art around the World Artistic Photography Contest. Due to the very high quality of the majority of photographs submitted we were not able to include all of the outstanding art in the final list of winners; however, this is not a reflection of your artistic talent and skill as a photographer; we would also encourage you to participate in our 2012 Contest.

The complete list of winners and special recognition have been featured on: http://www.artaroundtheworld.co.uk/gallery.html
