Woamtec/cumulus Radio To Sponsor Tallahassee Girl’s Day Proclamation Celebration
Women On A Mission To Earn Commission (WOAMTEC) is pleased to announce that its Tallahassee Chapter is sponsoring the Tallahassee Girl’s Day Proclamation Celebration in honor of I Am So Unique on Saturday, August 27, along with Cumulus Radio. Festivities begin at 8 a.m. at the Applebees near Walmart on Tennessee Street and move to TCC intramural field at 10 a.m. for a circus-themed celebration. The event is free and offers activities for all families devoted to the celebration of girls.I Am So Unique (IAmSoUnique.org) is an enrichment program with a mission to provide girls and young women ages 7 to 17 with character building, proper etiquette skills, and an appreciation of performing arts to allow them to develop their full potential in life and become leaders of tomorrow.
From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event will feature live entertainment, jewelry making, cooking activities, face painting, bouncing houses, giveaways, a modeling boot camp, and more. This event is packed with activities for all families and is especially and devoted to the celebration of girls. At 7 p.m., the grand finale, featuring a fashion show and a performing arts production by Tallahassee girls and young women involved with IAmSoUnique begins in TCC’s Turner Auditorium (doors open at 6 p.m.).
