Exotissimo is Proud to Present West Timor, an Exclusive off the Beaten Path Experience
Guest will arrive and enjoy the first day at leisure. Then, an exploration of the main city, Kumpang will follow, with a visit to a museum displaying artifacts from the numerous ethnic groups as well as fossils, anthropological artifacts and textiles. Also included is an experience at the local market.
What follows is a scenic three hour drive to Soe. En route, guests will stop at Oebelo, a village famous for crafting unique sasando instruments, made from lontar palm leaves.
The final day of the West Timor experience is spent exploring the area of Boti, a very traditional Timor village. Here, the king enforces his people to sport traditional dresses and hairstyle, eat the culture’s customary food and perform work in a conventional manner. The people are in turn proud of their heritage and abide happily. Guests will get the chance to meet the King and converse with the locals.
