Exotissimo Brings True Local Experiences to Guests with a Thai Homestay
The family has been welcoming guests into their home since 1990 and for many who have stayed. The house is built from teakwood in traditional manners akin to the Ayutthaya period 150 years ago. The surroundings are quite verdant as well, with lawns, gardens and fruit trees decorating the immediate area outside of the house.
“This tour is the perfect expedition for those looking to add some authentic local experiences to their Thai journey,” said Sameer Poonja, Director of E-Commerce at Exotissimo Travel. “The family is just incredible and their hospitality and warmth will make guests feel like they are not guests at all.”
The family will take guests out to the market to buy the fresh ingredients needed to cook all the meals during their stay. Thai cooking lessons will be conducted by the family in their own kitchen. In addition, visitors will be escorted around, taking a long-tail boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to the Ratchawong boat landing. A walking tour of Chinatown, Pahurat Market and others will follow. In addition, guests will gain insight to some Thai history over at the Folk Museum.
