JMA Pilani Celebrates Crystal Jubilee with Sunderkand Path by Shri Mitra Mandal and Savamani

It is indeed a matter of great pride that, Smt Jamuna Mishra Academy JMA founded in the year 2004 by a visionary NRI doctor BrijMohan Mishra at Pilani considered as Oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan completed 15 years in 2019. JMA is a Co-educational English Medium School with Experienced Teachers, Spacious Classrooms and Modern Amenities designed to impart Quality Education combined with All Round Personality Development and lay the Best Foundation for the Child’s Future. While the school admits both boys and girls, the girl student enrollment has been steadily rising every year and is presently over 40% of the total strength.

School motto is “विद्याधनं सर्व धनप्रदम् “ Vidhya Dhan Sarva Dhan Pradhanam meaning Knowledge is Supreme of all Wealth. JMA which has been making rapid strides in early childhood education derives its inspiration from the quote “Information is just bits of data while knowledge is putting them together and wisdom is transcending them.” The school firmly believes that transformation of the individual by education is indeed a non negotiable precursor to social and economic transformation of society at large.

The school started in 2004 with an enrollment of 60 students and 6 teachers for the Nursery, LKG, First Junior and Class I and progressively added classes every subsequent year and was affiliated to RBSE. The new building with state of the art facilities and play ground was commissioned in 2013. The first batch of Class X students passed out in 2014 and the first batch of Class XII students passed out in 2016 in Science stream. Commerce stream was added in 2015.

It is a matter of great pride that JMA Pilani is referred popularly as the School with 100% Results on account of outstanding results year after year in Board of Secondary Education Rajasthan RBSE Class X and Class XII. The school has girls’ brass band from 2008 which has been winning laurels every year. School also has for boys and girls NCC 1RAJ(I)COY NCC (JD) Troop No 23/2 from 2015 as well as Bharat Scouts and Guides from 2019. NCC cadets of JMA Pilani have also been selected for participation in Republic Day Camp RDC 2019 and Shivaji Trail Trek 2019.

Yoga, Karate, Painting and Music are not just part of school routine but a way of life for the students. JMA students regularly participate in various inter school debate competitions and have won many prizes including the prestigious Itihas Parishad All India Hindi Debate Competition. For Meritorious Performance, from 2014 onwards, JMA Pilani Girls have been Bagging Prestigious Rajasthan Government Gargi awards year after year. The school implemented Right to Education RTE from 2013 itself. JMA Pilani focuses on human resource improvement for its teachers by conducting Faculty Development Programs – FDP on a regular basis in collaboration with experts from Oxford University Press as well as by inviting professors from top ranking institutions.

To mark the Crystal Jubilee, JMA organized a Sunderkand path on 17 Nov 2019 by the high octane Shri Mitra Mandal which is the most sought after group in Pilani culminating with a Savamani Prasad compring of Churma dal Poori sabji etc. Mentored by well known alumnus of BITS Pilani Prof BR Natarajan, the evolution of Shri Mitra Mandal was inspired by the 'Baro - Yaari' Durga Puja of Kolkata in 1790 and the key members include Arvind Runthala, Sushil Kumar, Bheemraj Sharma. Ramesh Saini, Subhash Saini, Pawan Sharma, Jagdish Saini, Abhishek Dadich, Rahul Sharma, Rajat Runthala, Babulal Saini, Sharad Pandey and Sushil Saini.

The function was attended by who is who of Pilani which included Maj Gen SS Nair Director of BET Birla Education Trust, Prof Sangeeta Sharma from BITS Pilani and well known alumnus of BITS Pilani Virender Watal from Srinagar as well as eccentric genius Rama Sundaram from Pune. All the teachers who are alumni of JMA also joined the celebrations. With tag line “Best Place for your Child’s Future” Principal Mrs Booma Natarajan with a beaming face said that Team JMA Pilani firmly believes that achieving excellence is not a destination but a continuous journey and the journey continues ….
