We’re fast approaching the start of the German Bundesliga 2011/12 season, with eighteen teams once again set to battle it out for the title, European places and survival. The reigning champions are Borussia Dortmund and, in time-honoured tradition, they will kick off the season when hosting Hamburg on Friday 5 August.

Here are the fixtures for the first weekend of the Bundesliga season:
