GOSSIP GIRL's Matthew Settle stars in upcoming feature HAPPY AND BLEEDING

New York, NY (July 28, 2011) –– mouseROAR has completed principal photography on HAPPY & BLEEDING, a film that takes the romantic comedy genre and violently turns it on its head. The feature stars Matthew Settle (Gossip Girl), who is also co-producing, and Swedish actress Katia Winter (Unmade Beds). They are joined by Charlotte Rae (Facts of Life) as Grandma Edna, and M. Emmet Walsh (Blade Runner) as Grandpa Ed, along with Jim Gaffigan (Away We Go) as Settle’s business partner. Filming took place in New York State in a hamlet of the picturesque Shawagunk Mountains and finished in New York City.
Helmed by comedy and documentary director Christian Charles (Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedian, Cheech & Chong’s Hey Watch This), the original screenplay penned by Ryan Oxford (Go To Hell, Mike Piazza) is a boy meets girl comedy that propels the term “love hurts” to a whole new level. Details of the plot remain under wraps.
The feature is produced by Anne Estonilo and Christian Charles of mouseROAR. Eric Matejevich is Executive Producing. In 2010, mouseROAR produced Cheech & Chong’s Hey Watch This, which executed a first-to-market simultaneous multi-platform release and was distributed by The WEINSTEIN COMPANY. This is mouseROAR’s second feature production.
