Press release from: AristoMedia

(Nashville, Tenn. – May 24, 2011) Nashville-based independent label Bigride Records has announced the signing of its flagship artist, Marlee Scott, and the release of her debut U.S. Country single, “Beautiful Maybe.”

Scott is currently on a multi-leg radio tour in support of her “Beautiful Maybe” single, which officially impacts at Country radio June 27. The song was co-written by chart-topping Nashville songwriters Marcus Hummon (Rascal Flatts, Dixie Chicks, Tim McGraw), Tia Sillers (Dixie Chicks, Pam Tillis, Lee Ann Womack) and Tania Hancheroff and produced by producer/engineer David Kalmusky (Journey, Emerson Drive, The Wilkinsons).

“I love the possibilities that ‘Beautiful Maybe’ presents to each different listener,” says Scott. “To me, this song just represents the hopes that all of us dream about for our future. In my case, that hope is continuing to do what I love, which is sing. So, I hope ‘Beautiful Maybe’ connects with the fans the way it has for me.”

Veteran promotion teams CO5 Nashville and Marco Promotions have been retained to promote the “Beautiful Maybe” single at Country radio, with Teboo Consulting’s Teddi Bonadies overseeing all radio operations. Entertainment PR and marketing firm Aristo P.R. is handling publicity for Scott, while artist management and social media/creative services initiatives are being handled in-house under the Bigride Entertainment umbrella. RED/MRI is responsible for national sales and product distribution duties.

Chant Image and Music City Networks are providing additional social media and web services, and brand development company Art of the Game has been hired to explore sponsorship and corporate event opportunities for Scott.

Nashville-based label Bigride Records is a division of multi-faceted label services group, Bigride Entertainment. Industry veteran Gerry Leiske, known for his success with Country act Emerson Drive, founded Bigride Entertainment in 1997 to provide artist management services to his music industry clients.

Bigride Records President Kim Leiske has announced Marlee Scott as the recently formed label’s flagship artist, with her U.S. debut album due out in late 2011 or early 2012.

“We saw something unique in Marlee, something that is fresh and optimistic in her music, and we believe Country music fans will feel the same way,” says Bigride Records President Kim Leiske. “We are fortunate to have signed Marlee Scott to Bigride Records, and we are incredibly excited about the future of this dynamic and talented artist.”

In 2010, the Canadian-born, U.S.-based singer-songwriter received a nomination for the prestigious Rising Star award at the Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMAs), as well as a nomination at the Canadian Radio Awards. Her most recent single, “Here to Heaven,” was a Top 20 success in Canada and Australia and a No. 1 hit in England, Germany and Holland. Scott has lived in Nashville since 2007, but maintains a devoted fan base outside the U.S., particularly in Canada.
