Window World West Michigan to Appear at 2011 28th Street Metro Cruise in Grand Rapids
Grand Rapids, MI – July 26th, 2011 – Window World of West Michigan Owners Brandon & Dave VanHouten will be taking part in this year’s 28th Street Metro Cruise in Grand Rapids, Michigan on August 26th & 27th. The Window World duo will be appearing alongside the #34 Window World NASCAR and the beautiful Orange County Chopper which was custom designed with a Window World theme. The Window World vehicles will be displayed alongside over 15,000 other custom-built vehicles to over 300,000 expected participants.The 2011 28th Street Metro Cruise will feature many games and activities, including A Pinup Girl Contest, NASCAR Racing Simulator, Metro Million High Value Cars Showcase, Swap Meet & Car Corral, Dyno Challenge, and of course, the Judged “Best of the Best” Car Show. Events run Friday and Saturday, and will feature a live music DJ both days.
When asked about the upcoming event, Window World of West Michigan Owner Brandon VanHouten stated, “The Window World Team is very excited to be taking part in this year’s 28th Street Metro Cruise! This event gives fellow car lovers a chance to display their beautiful automobiles, swap stories, and share ideas, while having fun at the same time. The 28th Street Metro Cruise began in 2005. The Wyoming Kentwood Area Chamber of Commerce began the event to help drive business to the 28th Street corridor when M-6 opened on the south end of Grand Rapids. The cruise has been held every August since 2005, and the 2011 Metro Cruise is sponsored by Foremost Insurance, Window World, and many other great contributors.
