Constant Learn Launches Career Ready Program to prepare youth for an exciting Tech Career

At least one (1) out of every four (4) Nigerian Youth is either unemployed or under-employed, this is based on the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) Q3 2018 Labour Force Statistics. It is very alarming and of serious economic, social and security concerns; considering that the Nigeria 2019 Annual Gross Domestic Product growth rate is forecasted at 0.6% but the population growth within the same period is at 2.6%, exponentially increasing the number of youth entering the labour market with a very slim chance of getting meaningful employment.
It is clear that the traditional job creation methodologies of the Third Industrial Revolution can no longer be considered effective in being responsive to the already here Fourth Industrial Revolution. The Career Ready Program (CRP) is our attempt to spark growth in the economy through measures like the upfront NGN0 (zero naira) training cost, solving real world business problems during the internship, job placement after the program, and flexible monthly payment only after job placement; these measures we hope will solve the lack of skilled youth and unemployment crisis.
Constant Learn have curated Career Ready online Technology courses in Data Science and Analytics, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, with the intent to prepare our unemployed youth to leverage the unfilled technology jobs created by the Fourth Industrial Revolution skills shortage in Data Scientist, Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineers and Big Data just to mention a few.
The pilot phase of the Career Ready Program with focus on Data Science and Artificial Intelligence is set to commence 20th January 2020, our goal is to equip at least 100 Nigerian unemployed youth with the skillsets, meaningful real world development experiences to win in this digital transformation age thereby enable them kick start a technology career or start up initiative to support businesses and government parastatals.
We strongly believe that in the end, it all comes down to people and values. We need to shape a future that works for all of us by putting our unemployed and under-employed youth first and empowering them. The digital skills gap is widening fast and we at Constant Learn are here to bridge it by preparing our youth for the Fourth Industrial Revolution Jobs.
