2nd Annual Memphis Hip Hop Expo Moved, Rescheduled For September 2012

The 2nd Annual Memphis Hip Hop Expo, which was due to be held at the Memphis Cook Convention Center on the 3th-4th of September this year (2011), has been moved to a new date and rescheduled for September 1-2, 2012.

"We had multiple delays this year and unfortunately we have decided it would be best to reschedule our 2nd Annual Memphis Hip Hop Weekend & Expo event until next year in-order to insure everyone is better prepared for a great event each and every year," stated Hosea "M Town" Mays of MemphisRap.com, a producer of the annual Memphis Hip Hop Weekend and Expo.

"Delays began early in the year but were topped with the flooding in Memphis, which caused a branch of delays; then there were our plans to open a new office and studio in April where we would run business and event operations from, but it too was delayed due to storm damages and other prolonged fixes to the building. Our new office is now planned to open sometime in mid/late August, but even that left us months behind in vital areas of planning."

"We want to thank everyone who registered as exhibitors for this year as well as eager performers and attendees. MemphisRap.com will be refunding all pre-registrations by end of the July month starting next week," added Mays.

"We know that there will be disappointed artists, Industry people, exhibitors, partners, sponsors and fans who had been looking forward to the hip hop weekend and expo this year, but we want to only provide the best; however our allowed level of commitment this year would not have allowed us to produce the best. Rather than downsize or possibly fall short of a good event due to lack of allowed commitment, we have decided it's best to move this year to the next. We hope that everyone will look forward to and be able to return with us for the 2nd Annual Memphis Hip Hop Weekend & Expo next year 2012 and each year. We are making this commitment to better service our community, partners and sponsors."

All expected events including the expo and conference for the 2nd Annual Memphis Hip Hop Weekend & Expo 2011 has been moved to August 30, 2012 - September 3, 2012, again with the 2nd Annual Memphis Hip Hop Expo and Trade Show portion of the weekend now rescheduled at the Memphis Cook Convention Center for September 1-2, 2012.
