Combining wine festivals and luxury accommodations on Kefalonia
Visitors to the exquisitely beautiful Kefalonia Island will be spoilt for choice with the exciting range of local events, including the Robola wine festival featuring predominantly in August. According to the Robola Wine Cooperative only seven specific areas can make the wine and, therefore, its quality is purely maintained. The most famous Robola wine is the white wine, with discrete essenece of butter, vanilla and white rose.
This year’s Rombola Wine festival will be held, as always, in the mid of August in the village of Fragata, where the majority of the village’s inhabitants take part in the local wine making industry. The festival (which began in 1978) grows every year and gives its hundreds of participants the opportunity to enjoy music, dancing, food and of course this mouth-watering wine.
