Mithi today released the Pay per use billing model to help customers optimize costs and match spend to their usage

Mithi, a provider of cloud-based SaaS services in the digital collaboration, email archival and email security space, announced the availability of the pay per use billing model to help customers closely match their spend to their actual usage.

Typically, SaaS pricing plans are in the form of an upfront purchase based on the estimated usage for the year.

However, it may not always be possible to accurately estimate the usage for a year, in advance. Hence, mid-term, customers may exhaust the resources that they had purchased upfront and would need a top-up or they may hit the year-end with unused (but paid for) resources.

The new Pay per use billing model from Mithi is based on metered billing to accurately track the usage of all services by Mithi’s customers on a daily pro-rata.

The introduction of this new model will prevent customers from dealing with the hassle of mid-term upgrades & top-ups (and consequent delays and paperwork), will prevent wastage in the form of unused inventory and lend them the flexibility and agility to have their monthly bills align to their actual usage (up or down)
