ASCO Power Technologies Offers EMI Filter with Surge Suppression for Industrial Automation
The ASCO Model 277 is a series-connected high-frequency noise filter and surge suppressor that is ideal for improving power quality and protecting mission-critical loads up to 20 amps. Available for 120-volt and 240-volt systems, it is perfect for protecting sensitive microprocessor-equipped equipment including industrial Programmable Logic Controllers and motion control equipment.
Key features of the Model 277 include a multi-staged design that combines a unique hybrid clamping network with ASCO Active Tracking® technology that effectively reduces noise. It also provides a surge current capacity of 15,000 Amps between line-to-neutral, line-to-ground, and neutral-to -ground conductors. LEDs and Form C dry contacts provide local and remote status indication. The unit offers DIN rail and flange mounting options and is UL-Listed and CUL recognized.
“High-frequency noise can affect digital devices that control automated motion and industrial process equipment,” says Marketing Manager Keith Wiley. “Filtering noise and mitigating surges prevents disruptions and protects equipment. The Model 277 provides all of this in a single unit.”
