Helical IT Solutions launches major release of Open Source BI Framework: ‘Helical Insight 3.1’
July 30th 2019: Helical IT Solutions announces launch of release of a newer version of Helical Insight i.e. ‘Helical Insight 3.1’.Helical Insight 3.1 Enterprise Edition comes with a lot of new features and functionalities like a UI driven interface for community reporting, caching layer for enhanced performance at metadata layer and datasources layer, default charts UX improvement, add to an existing group in dashboard etc.
“Community reporting is a feature which is very powerful and can be used for creation of very complex reports. It gives a lot of flexibility to even use stored procedures, write SQLQueries, use custom visualizations etc and create very complex reporting from UI. This interface will also be available in Community Edition also shortly.” said Nitin Sahu, Cofounder, Helical Insight.
Nikhilesh Tiwari, Cofounder, Helical Insight added “Aside from the community reporting the newer release is also having an integrated caching functionally for performance enhancement. We are going to integrate this caching to work with every module, right now it has been integrated with Data Source module and Metadata module. Hence even if you are connecting to a DB with a lot of tables and columns you will be able to use it, courtesy the caching layer.
There are other functionality enhancements on the dashboard designer layer and a lot of bug fixing. Version 3.1 also has got a default new look and feel of the charts, thus aiding in aesthetics of the analytics being built.”
