Centara Anda Dhevi Resort and Spa

Centara Anda Dhevi Resort and Spa

Thailand’s largest hotel chain, Centara Hotels and Resorts, has just announced the opening of a new resort and spa in Krabi, Thailand.

The four-star Centara Anda Dhevi Resort and Spa is located in Ao Nang, one hundred metres from Nopparat Thara Beach.

Ao Nang, also known as Princess Bay, is also one of the main points of travel to the Phi Phi Islands and a forty minute drive from Krabi Airport.

The one hundred and thirty five room hotel provides accommodation with garden or pool views. Family rooms and a honeymoon suite are also available.

Facilities include a The Palm Court restaurant, a swimming pool, a cocktail bar and a lounge.

The management contract was signed between Centara and Anda Dhevi in January 2011.

“We are very proud that Dr. Tantapakul, owner of Anda Dhevi Resort and Spa Company Limited, has awarded us the management contract for this beautiful property, which represents an investment of 350 Million Baht. This is a significant move in our strategic growth program of acquiring high-quality new properties through management contracts” said Suthikiati Chirathivat, vice chairman of the Central Group of Companies which owns the Centara Hotels and Resorts brand.

The resort is Centara’s second in Krabi. The first, Centara Grand Beach Resort and Villas, opened last year near Pai Plong Bay also in Ao Nang.

However, Centara were keen to point out that the two hotels would not be competing with each other as they have different target markets.

“The two resorts, in fact, represent two different segments of the tourism market, and consequently they complement each other. We now cover a broader range in the increasingly popular resort of Krabi, and this makes us stronger in Southern Thailand,” commented Chris Bailey, senior vice president of sales and marketing at Centara.

Currently Centara operate hotels and resorts in; Bangkok, Hua Hin, Krabi, Pattaya, Samui, Koh Pha Ngan, Phuket, Rayong, Trat, Koh Kood, Hat Yai, Chiang Mai, Mae Sot, Udon Thanni, Maldives, India, Philippines and Vietnam.

The company also run two state-of-the-art convention centres in Bangkok and one in Udon Thani in the North East of Thailand.
