CountyClean staff to raise hundreds of pounds for cancer charity
Staff, friends and family of Eastbourne based CountyClean Environmental Services are throwing themselves into training and banishing treats in preparation for running Eastbourne’s Race for Life.The 5 km race is being held on Sunday 5th of June on behalf of Cancer Research UK.
The team of ladies from CountyClean include the female staff, several of their daughters, relatives and friends. The all-female team will set off at 2pm, with the younger generation running and those of a more mature nature planning on taking a leisurely stroll and catching up on company gossip.
Company Secretary Debbie Walker, who organised the team, said: “I am really pleased that so many ladies agreed to participate for ‘Team CountyClean’. It’s a charity close to all our hearts as everyone knows someone affected by cancer. It’s wonderful that we can show our support as a company for such a worthy cause.”
The team hopes to raise £400. Anyone wanting to sponsor them can e-mail sandy@countycleanenvironmental.co.uk
