Stevens-Henager College Offers Online Graduate Degrees in Varied Healthcare Disciplines
Salt Lake City, May 20, 2011 - Stevens-Henager College is now offering online Master of Science degrees in three sought-after healthcare disciplines: healthcare administration, nursing administration, and nursing education. All three degrees are designed for practicing healthcare professionals who are looking to advance their careers without having to take time off work to attend classes.The degree in healthcare administration is meant for individuals interested in management or administrative roles in a healthcare unit. It provides graduates with the knowledge they need to develop and implement policies for the smooth delivery of healthcare in a professional setting. The program also focuses on healthcare economics and finance as well as information systems and quantitative methods.
The Master of Science in Nursing Administration program is designed to train graduates to manage and provide leadership to the nursing staff of a healthcare organization. Students will cover topics including nursing administration, advanced nursing theory, health services economics, and issues in managed care.
The Master of Science in Nursing Education program is ideally suited for RNs looking to branch out into the academic side of nursing. The program equips RNs with the skills they need to train, educate, and nurture future talent in the field of nursing. The core program courses include Research and Evaluation Methods, Instructional Strategies, Issues in Nursing, Program Development, and Teaching Critical Thinking and Clinical Decisions.
