Awning roof provides protection against the sun, wind and cold

Anyone wanting to enjoy the summer spends as much time as they can in their own garden or on the patio. But unfortunately the sun is not always shining, especially the further north you go, where you can experience the occasional shower. Pergolas and patio roofs are thus very popular because these mean you can be outside in virtually any weather. It is available in a freestanding version with four posts or alternatively with two posts connected to the wall at the rear.

The awning roof “markant” transforms patios and other favourite places in the garden into a homely space in the open air. A weatherproof awning cover provides protection from above. It provides protection against the sunlight but allows plenty of air under the roof to ensure a pleasant atmosphere. According to the manufacturer’s specifications, the fully tensioned cover remains stable up to wind force six on the Beaufort scale. If it rains, water flows away quickly through openings in the cover via a front gutter and side posts. Depending on whether the sunblind is to be freestanding or connected directly to a house, it comes either with four posts or with two posts, face fixture brackets and a wall sealing profile.

Cosy and smart
If you would like some privacy or simply want to be protected from the cold, you can close the covered seating area all round using vertical blinds. With a suitable infrared heater under the roof, you are also guaranteed pleasant temperatures. An LED line or LED spots make for lounge-like lighting in the evening. The awning cover can be controlled using a radio-controlled motor with wireless, smart io radio technology. This ensures it offers a well ventilated but cosy comfort zone outside in virtually any weather.
