Convening on June 11th-12th 2019 in Los Angeles, Military Space USA will be featuring high level briefings from senior leadership across industry, government and allied partner states. The conference will explore how organisational efforts such as SMC 2.0 are facilitating the space supremacy that is demanded by the warfighter.

Lieutenant Commander Steve Mansfield, In Survel and Targeting Reqs, C4ISR Wing, Capability Branch, New Zealand Defence Force will present on day two of the conference.

After 30 years in the commercial world, including 12 years as a reservist, Lieutenant Commander Steve Mansfield’s initial post with the RNZN was managing projects in Naval Capability, delivering Sat TV, Wide band Satellite, and RHIB Tracking systems, before going to sea on HMNZS Te Kaha. A two-year posting to the ANZAC Systems Program Office in Rockingham WA added interoperability and maintenance skills. Returning to NZ to work with Maritime lead, Lieutenant Commander Mansfield introduced new projects such as Maritime Mission Critical Internet before joining C4ISR and being responsible for the development and management of NVWAR and Sat Coms capability for NZDF.
