lbase logistics software to feature innovations that truly meet market needs at transport logistic in Munich.

Logistics software provider lbase will showcase innovative solutions that are precisely tailored to the requirements of logistics service providers at transport logistic: From automated route planning through to the ePortal for the entire supply chain.

The highlights at a glance:

Fully adaptable route optimization:
lbase is making routes even more efficient thanks to innovative algorithms. The new route planning feature combines various mathematical models and calculates the best possible routes for full and partial loads (FTL and LTL). Automatic optimization is also an option in hub-and-spoke networks. “Our new route planning feature constitutes major technological progress. It automates complex, time-consuming tasks and leads to perfect decision-making,” emphasized Andreas Schellmann, lbase CEO.

Precise goods flow analysis:
lbase is using artificial neural networks to generate precisely forecasted goods flows. Historical shipment data is initially recorded for this with attributes such as product classification, day of the week, volumes, etc. Output neurons then represent the expected deliveries per destination. The software keeps learning from the actual shipment data, resulting in ever more useful transport planning.

Smart micro-services:
lbase is offering a comprehensive suite of geo-functions with the geo.logic server. Applications such as map matching, isochrones for regional planning, and distance matrices unlock the full potential of big data.

E-PORTAL as a single point of information:
The new E-PORTAL combines in a single system the data flow from when a shipment is handed over through to delivery by the carrier. The portal, which can also be used on the go, pools the information of every party involved; all users access and update the same data set. “The E-PORTAL allows us to achieve a new quality of connectivity which means greater efficiency and clear benefits for business,” said Marcus Eiser, lbase Chief Strategy Officer.

Business intelligence with in-memory technology:
The new business intelligence solution, based on the QlikSense BI tool, enables new quality in the analysis of millions of records. “The analyses help logistics service providers to continuously improve their daily operations and process efficiency,” emphasized Marcus Eiser.

lbase: A game-changer with artificial intelligence and advanced geo-functions
Besides these solutions, lbase is also set to showcase many other innovations for the logistics of the digital era at transport logistic. The lbase 7.4 transport and warehouse management systems are designed to enable logistics service providers to further boost their process efficiency and streamline their operations. “Individual elements can be flexibly combined to complement each other, so that logistics service providers can take a major step forward in terms of real-time planning and scheduling,” said Marcus Eiser. lbase’s strength of innovation is also reflected in the new A’PARI TMS ranking. In the latest analysis, lbase was included in the Stars quadrant – and judged particularly innovative for its significant use of future-oriented technologies.

lbase and Axians ICT Austria
The lbase software suite covers all tasks performed by logistics service providers, from dispatch planning through to billing – with transport and warehouse management systems as well as many add-on components and offerings that can also be used on a standalone basis. lbase is the only system on the market to offer an integrated application for transports via truck, train, ship, and airplane.
lbase is a business unit of Axians ICT Austria. This full-service enterprise IT provider employs some 400 people at six offices in Austria and two locations in Germany and France. Axians ICT Austria is part of the French VINCI Group.
