UFD is awarded a U.S. invitation to demonstrate FOCS technology and to seek partners and other distribution

For the week of March 22, 2007, Max Ryabko, CEO for Unique Fiber Devices, Ltd. ("UFD"), is traveling to the U.S. under the auspices of CRDF, a U.S. organization, in order to demonstrate its Fiber Optic Sensor Technology ("FOCS") and seek marketing partners and other forms of distribution. UFD participated in a competition with over 70 Eurasian technology companies and had won with another 11 companies the opportunity to market its products to Northern Virginian technology companies.

Unique Fiber Devices (“UFD”) manufactures and markets industry leading transducers known as Fiber Optic Current Sensors (“FOCS”) – a smart grid technology, which monitor the efficiency of electric current flowing through high voltage power substations and grids. Through proprietary technologies developed by UFD’s uniquely qualified engineers, FOCS measure and monitor higher voltages with greater accuracy than any competing transducer and without any signal degradation over its lifespan. Accurate measurement is critical to efficient power grid management and the FOCS product accomplishes this with its unique optical fiber and duplex monitoring hardware devices and software. UFD's fiber optic cable, a key component of FOCS has already achieved world-wide recognition and is currently sold to several international companies as a premium brand. FOCS enjoy a major competitive advantage over traditional transducers in its environmentally safe components, which use no oil or any other bio-hazardous materials to jeopardize power substation operations.
