The Continental Group Partners with WIOD Radio and Brickell Homeowners Association on “Condo Hurricane Preparedness Panel”
(Miami) May 5, 2011 – The Continental Group (TCG) in conjunction with Brickell Homeowners Association (BHA) and 610 WIOD News Radio will host a “Condo Hurricane Preparedness Panel” on Wednesday, May 11th promptly at 5:30 p.m. at the Four Season Hotel located at 1435 Brickell Avenue, Downtown Miami.Moderated by WIOD’s Manny Munoz, the interactive panel will discuss the best practices in condominium hurricane preparedness with members of the community and focus on helping attendees create a realistic, functional plan that is critical to a successful preparation, response and recovery. Topics will include building preparation, emergency considerations, staff and resident readiness, and what to expect if a hurricane strikes the Brickell community.
The Atlantic hurricane season begins June 1st to November 30th on the eastern coast of the U.S.; projections point toward a very active 2011. Florida has a major history of hurricanes and condo hurricane preparedness is essential for effective property management. When it comes to hurricane preparedness and disaster recovery, TCG, a leading community association management company, stands apart from other property management companies by providing useful advice on the response to and protection from hurricanes as well as disaster recovery services to its properties. Since 1990, BHA has been instrumental in providing vital information and coordination to all residents and associations in the Brickell corridor.
“This hurricane preparedness panel will benefit homeowners to better prepare themselves and their properties from storm-related disasters with useful tips and recommendations,” said Ernesto Cuesta, BHA President. “The discussion on the practices of properties protection, emergency response, staff readiness, and disaster recovery before hurricane season arrives, will be of great value and assistance to our residents.”
The panel is open to all members of the Brickell community and admission is free. The panel discussion is part of BHA’s May Board Meeting.
