Press release from: Square Organics

/ PR Agency: Startr Co.
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (APRIL 10, 2019) – Square Organics, best known for their organic and indulgent protein bars, is excited to announce that Co-Founder Sarah Gordon has been named CEO. A staple and influence on brand direction since the company’s inception in 2011, Gordon will now be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company and its growth while leading the brand’s female empowerment movement catered towards Bad Ass Bitches (BABs).

As CEO, Sarah Gordon will lead Square Organics’ transition from a protein snack brand to a brand focused on empowering women through functional products made from quality ingredients that are ethical, responsibly sourced, and contribute to health, wellness and self-actualization. One of the most immediate developments to follow her appointment is a brand extension of products in new categories that will debut in early Summer 2019. Gordon co-founded Square Organics alongside her husband Andrew shortly after they began making their signature protein bars in their kitchen. During the last seven years, she has been focused on streamlining growth and securing deals with large national retailers such as Whole Foods, Walmart, CVS, Amazon and Thrive Market.

A crucial component of all of Gordon’s decision making as CEO will be focused on her commitment to investing in the next generation of women. As part of this undertaking, Square Organics has a partnership with San Francisco non-profit organization Not For Sale and is giving back 1% of net sales to go towards the prevention of human trafficking and slavery, which disproportionally affects women. Square Organics is also dedicated to putting women in leadership positions within the company as it continues to grow.

“Since the beginning, Andrew and I have always strived to provide consumers with quality, real food ingredient products that are ethically sourced and socially responsible,” said Sarah Gordon, Co-Founder, and CEO of Square Organics. “I am excited for this new chapter and look forward to innovating and finding new ways to support BABs with products that can improve their quality of life.”

Square Organics current product line includes a range of 9 Chocolate Coated and Crispy Protein Bars that are packed with sprouted plant protein and are sweetened with the sap from coconut trees. The bars are great options for those with dietary restrictions as they are gluten-free, dairy-free and soy-free. For more information on Square Organics, please visit www.squareorganics.com.
