Groupigg, LLC signs agreement with Newport Television to Offer Local Daily Deals

St. Louis, MO - March, 28, 2011 - Groupigg, LLC (“Groupigg”), a white-label technology provider in the group buying industry, today announced an agreement with Newport Television LLC (“Newport” or “Newport Television”), a television broadcast company. Newport will use the Groupigg software to provide daily deals to consumers watching 50 television stations in 22 markets across the United States to which Newport either owns or provides services.

Groupigg aims to offer media outlets around the country an unparalleled opportunity to increase traffic and generate additional revenue by offering unique deals precisely tailored to their existing and potential audience base.

The agreement allows Newport Television to embrace the group buying trend and easily enter the daily deal market, which according to TechCrunch is estimated to grow to $2.7 billion in 2011.
