The Edmunds Law Firm Earns Favorable Decision in Security Clearance Case
Alan Edmunds, of The Edmunds Law Firm, is pleased to announce that they received written notification on March 16th 2011 that the Administrative Judge ruled favorably, granting their client National Security Clearance, despite a Guideline E- Personal Conduct matter. The hearing for this case took place in Arlington, Virginia on December 14th, 2010.The evidence against the applicant showed that the applicant had partaken in recreational drug use and alcohol consumption various times in the past four decades.
The security clearance attorney at The Edmunds Law Firm in San Diego, CA was able to clearly show through documentary evidence and witness testimony that the Applicant was trustworthy and met the necessary requirements to classified information.
“The client had been arrested multiple times in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, with charges related to the possession of marijuana and various alcohol related offenses. The applicant was also arrested again in 2000 and charged with assault and battery, and admitted in the interview process that he had used illegal drugs in 2004. Because of this, he had been denied security clearance,” said Alan Edmunds, owner and security clearance attorney at The Edmunds Law Firm. “He came to us for help and we were able to litigate on his behalf, proving that the applicant was trustworthy and met the requirements for access to classified information.”
Upon consideration of the evidence, the Administrative Judge found that it was in the Nations best interest to grant the Applicant’s security clearance.
