China Keen To Assist With Japan Tsunami Recovery, China Electronics Shop FocalPrice

Shenzhen, China (OpenPR) March 19, 2011: Chinese citizens and companies are doing their part to assist those affected by the tragic Japan earthquake and tsunami according to a China electronics store with a combined donation that will probably be more than 40 million renminbi according to China electronics shop FocalPrice ( http://blog.focalprice.com/?utm_source=SM&utm_medium=pr&utm_campaign=SM_PR_OPPR_180311 ).

On March 11 a tsumani and earthquake that measured 9 on the Richter Scale rocked Japan. It took the lives of an estimated 10,000 people, left 450,000 temporarily homeless and much of the country without power or water.

The cost of the clean up is estimated to be as much as 140 billion and analysts estimate the cost to the economy could be much greater.

Companies and groups around the world have been busy raising money for the victims of the earthquake and tsunami and Chinese companies are no exception.

The Chinese government was contributing 30 million in aid while the Chinese Red Cross had donated a combined 7 million to help with rescue and clean up effects.

Global China-based B2B portal Alibaba had set up a which let customers purchase items needed by those left without homes and philanthropist Chen Guangbiao donated 1 million RMB in goods and medical supplies and took a team to help over in the disaster area.

Vincent Lee, Public Relations manager of China electronics shop FocalPrice said Chinese entities were only to eager to lend a hand because Japan had been such a help to them when China was coping with the effects of the Sichuan earthquake three years ago.

“Japan helped out a great deal during the horrific events of the 2008 Sichuan Earthquake so it is only fair Chinese businesses help them out in their time of need,” said Mr Lee.

Mr Lee said the FocalPrice store was also , donating 10% of its total Facebook shop revenue until April 6 to the American Red Cross to show its support for Japan survivors.

“FocalPrice will be donating no less than 1000 USD to Japan, in fact it is the company’s firm belief that it will be donating much much more,” said Mr Lee.
