The Greenjobs website has undergone a number of changes including a more contemporary design, the introduction of industry specific landing pages to make the navigation process easier and quicker for candidates and significant improvements to the overall functionality of the website.

Ireland, UK, March 15, 2011 -- Greenjobs has launched a new version of their popular environmental and renewable energy job board – http://www.greenjobs.co.uk. The Greenjobs website has undergone a number of changes including a more contemporary design, the introduction of industry specific landing pages to make the navigation process easier and quicker for candidates and significant improvements to the overall functionality of the website.

From a candidate’s perspective the main changes to the website include a quicker and easier registration process and the introduction of a two tier job search process which makes the jobs search process and job alerts by email system more relevant for candidates. The new two tier job search facility allows candidates to search multiple industry sectors and multiple job categories at once or individually as well as allowing jobseekers to set up multiple and more focused job alerts by email. From a recruiters point of view this makes it more effective for them to promote their job opportunities to both passive and active jobseekers.

As part of the redesign the classification of industry sectors has been improved and the Greenjobs website now covers over 40 industry sectors including – environmental jobs, renewable energy jobs, wind jobs, solar jobs and carbon jobs. This makes it quicker and easier for candidates to find the type of job which matches their requirement. Furthermore as many candidates have specified their desire to find international job opportunities the job location search option has been extended and improved with the new option for candidates to search for jobs in any country on the planet.

Jonathan Kyle (Director of Strategy) “We decided to launch a new version of the Greenjobs website based on research from our candidates and clients. The purpose of the redesign was to give a better user experience to both candidates and recruiters. With regards to candidates the feedback has been extremely positive since the new version of the website went live with particular praise for the new two job search facility and the ability to set up more relevant job alerts by email. From a client’s perspective we have experienced a significant increase in the number of candidates who are using the website and our clients have reported that they have seen a significant jump in the number of applications and the overall quality of applications that they are receiving.
