"Facts About 9/11 Victims Compensation Under The Zadroga Act" Guidebook

The law firm Turley, Redmond, Rosasco & Rosasco, LLP is offering as a public service a free guidebook explaining to those who were sickened from toxins while working at the Ground Zero area what they need to do to apply for a claim for the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund.

The guidebook, titled “Facts About 9/11 Victims Compensation Under The Zadroga Act,” provides an overview of the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010 and the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund. It also describes who is eligible to file a claim once the fund reopens this summer, how to file a claim and the types of illnesses such as asthma, reactive airway disease, sinusitis, bronchitis, COPD, GERD and various cancers which are covered by the Act.

The Zadroga Act is named after James Zadroga, a New York City police detective who died in 2006 from respiratory disease as the result of inhaling toxins while working at Ground Zero. Under the Zadroga Act, $2.8 billion will be provided for the Victims Compensation Fund.

For the past nine years, Turley, Redmond, Rosasco & Rosasco has been representing victims of 9/11. The firm is currently accepting Victims Compensation Fund cases for clients who want them to fully prepare their claims by gathering all needed medical and financial information prior to the fund’s reopening this summer.

“This informative guidebook fully explains what the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund means to those whose health has been adversely affected from exposure to those toxins while working at Ground Zero,” said Troy Rosasco, Founding Partner, Turley, Redmond, Rosasco & Rosasco, LLP. “We urge those who are sick to consider filing a claim now so they can receive all the compensation they deserve.”
