Core Synesis implements the new BPM technology of AuraPortal for the Brazilian corporation Usiminas

Woburn (Boston), MA. – March, 14 - 2011 – AuraPortal (www.auraportal.com), a global provider of Business Process Management (BPM) has announced that its Partner in Brazil Core Synesis has implemented the Suite BPM of AuraPortal in the Brazilian corporation Usiminas, which is one of the leading steel companies in the world.
Core Synesis, a partner of AURA in Brazil, has developed a Social and Environmental Responsibility Management application using the AuraPortal Business Processes Platform, considered by the specialized consulting company Gartner Inc. as one of the best in the world and described as an 'Example of next-generation BPMS'.
The Social and Environmental Responsibility Management solution is comprised of the following modules: Module of Associations by Results Management, Module of Requirement Panel for Sustainability, Module of Demand Management (Requests Management) and Module of Institutional Activities Management. All the modules are implemented by using the BPM (Business Process Management) technology of AuraPortal, with Business Rules and Indicators Panel.

Usiminas is comprised of 13 companies in the fields of mining, iron and steel industries, production of capital assets, logistics, solutions and services. Usiminas manages four business units: Mining and Logistics, Steel, Steel Process and Capital Assets.
It extracts iron grade ore; it then turns it into steel and processes it according to the customers specifications. It also provides sea, train and road freight and when necessary, it delivers finished assets as machinery and large-sized metallic structures.
Besides the permanent search for improved excellence in production and commercialization, Usiminas is very committed to the socio-cultural and environmental aspects, which is the reason why it has decided to implement an integrated Social and Environmental Responsibility Management system with the latest technology on the market.
