Hand crafted butterfly wedding favors
While butterfly releases have become popular at weddings and other ceremonious events, the practice has come under scrutiny by animal rights activists in recent years. Questionable breeding practices and claims that butterflies are released at times and in places not native to certain species have caused some to choose alternatives.
Many times, problems arise when instructions for care and handling are misunderstood or ignored completely. Some people may not understand that insects are cold blooded and need to warm up in order to fly. When cold butterflies are released they may fall to the ground unable to take flight.
Butterfly wind chimes and aroma therapy ornaments are an excellent alternative to using live butterflies at weddings, anniversaries, and other events. The favors become keepsakes and lasting remembrances when they are personalized with names, events and date. Many customers offer the favors on their own while others combine the butterflies with other items to build a butterfly theme. Butterfly candy, books or bookmarks or other small items can be combined in an attractive container. In many cases the ornaments and wind chimes are handed out in addition to a live release as a memory of the event.
All favors are hand crafted in the Five Cedars studio located in northern NY State. Eco friendly native clays and inert pigments are used to create a host of nature inspired designs suitable for any occasion. Each item is individually hand packaged in fine quality gift boxes for a neat, attractive presentation.
