Native Eyewear Adds Timex® Multisport Team To Its Roster

(DENVER, Colo.) – March 8, 2011–Native Eyewear, the premier sunglass and goggle brand, has partnered with US Sports watchmaker Timex as sponsors of the 2011 Timex Multisport Team.

Now in its 10th year, the Timex Multisport Team is comprised of male and female athletes, both professional and amateur, ranging in age from 20-55 with athlete representation from around the globe. The team members are brand ambassadors for Timex and sponsors like Native Eyewear at hundreds of events worldwide, testing and refining new products for the endurance sports community.

“A partnership with a nationally renowned sports team like Team Timex is an exciting addition to our program,” said Marketing Director Jax Swartz. “Over 2011, we’ll continue to seek out the opportunities that allow us to engage performance athletes who are True Natives in every sense of the word – ambassadors who use their passion to fuel their sports.”

The 50 member Timex Multisport Team boasts such well known names as 2010 Ironman Canada Champion, Viktor Zyemstev; USAT rising star, Gwen Jorgensen; 2009 Ironman Florida Champion, Kiril Kotsegarov, and age group champ, Tim Hola. The Native and Timex partnership officially kicked off at the Timex Multisport Camp, February 18-20, 2011 in Newark, NJ at the Timex Performance Center complex.

“With the addition of new athlete, team and event partnerships, 2011 has been a year of tremendous growth for the Native Eyewear sponsorship program. Said Swartz, “Our goal this year is to put our eyewear to the test. We’ll leverage the experiences of world-class athletes across the country, refining and shaping our lines so that we continue to provide the superior polarized products that perform and protect athletes, letting them focus on their game, not their eyewear.”

Native Eyewear is a premier outdoor sunglass and goggle brand, designed for adventurers from every avenue. With a mix of runway-ready style and features like interchangeable polarized lenses, sub-1oz frames, anti-fog ventilation, amazing grip and a lifetime warranty, there’s a pair of Natives fit for every type of adventure.

Tim Sandtler: Duelling In The Park
An exciting season in the Formula Master series came to an equally exciting conclusion in the royal park of Monza. Tim was one of the few drivers who kept his cool and avoided getting involved in any of the
Tim Sandtler: Continuing to make headway
Tim had mixed feeling about his return to Brands Hatch. Friday brought a sensation of déjà-vu, as he was already familiar with the 1.93km reduced-length circuit from the Formula 3 Euro Series. Tim Sandtler: Catch-up in the rain
Race weekends are a law unto themselves and every race track has its own peculiarities. Just two of the lessons that Tim will be taking away with him from the opening Formula Master event in Valencia. During the winter tests, Tim was up with the front-runners right from the start. Even when he briefly got behind the wheel for the first test in Monza, he was amongst the leading group.
