WHAT: On Monday, March 28th, 2011, singer-songwriter Gareth Asher and The Earthlings will be bring southern charm and sensibility to The Beehive’s new Monday night singer-songwriter spotlight series, Hearing Voices. >From 8:00PM-12:00PM, Asher and The Earthlings will serenade the crowd with bold electric guitars, steady driving percussion and a balance of lush string arrangements that will only compliment his sweet-as-honey voice.
“Gareth has the most soulful voice I have ever heard,” said Holly Firfer (92.9 Dave FM On-Air, Atlanta & Company). “The first time I heard his music I just had to stop and take it in. I imagine that is what it was like for those who heard Ray Charles or John Lennon for the first time."
Born in the small town Bowdon, GA, Asher was influenced by old school funk, rock and soul and has toured with the likes of Shawn Mullins, Glen Phillips (Toad the Wet Sprocket), Emerson Hart, Angie Aparo, Corey Smith, and Sister Hazel.
